The Inspiration Behind The Process Salon
Meet Gordon
Gordon was a hairdresser, salon owner, and cosmetology instructor who touched countless lives. A true people person, he always saw the good in others, encouraged them to reach their full potential, and never hesitated to advocate for someone who needed it. He loved sports, especially the Dodgers, and had a passion for history. He married his high school sweetheart, Audra, and raised three children, teaching them to believe in their dreams and always care for others.
His Fight, and His Legacy
In 2015, Gordon was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He fought hard, inspiring everyone around him with his positivity and his habit of putting others first. He taught the people in his life to "Thrive Through" their struggles with a smile and love in their heart. In 2018, his fight came to an end.
How The Process Salon Was Born
Gordon's son, Gehrig — now our salon owner — was halfway through cosmetology school when he lost his dad, best friend, and biggest advocate. After finding his own way through grief, Gehrig set out to build something that would make his father proud: a judgment-free salon where clients and stylists alike could be fully themselves — welcomed, heard, and celebrated. That vision became The Process Salon.
Though Gordon is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through his family and every client who walks through our doors.
